Real Toy review!!!
This is the base toy for all of the Zhu Zhu or Go Go pets sets... It is the hamsters house.. They know what room they are in and act accordingly.. Brush teeth in the bathroom and sleep in bed.. This set has kept my children entertained for hours!!! It has gotten me out of having to buy a real Hamster and when they don't feel like playing with it - they don't have to or feel neglectful. No smell and no buying food.. I can not wait for the babies and outfits to come out. They be expensive right now because of the high demand. but still well worth it. Enjoy!!!

AWESOME FUN! My little girl LOVES these Zhu Zhu pets!!
I purchased the entire set and my daughter ablsolutely loves them! She plays with it constantly. She is 4 and takes the pets everywhere she goes...just really, really cute!

FRAUD and Price Gauging
Item promised by 9/3 and didn't ship. Same product listed as instock, but prices raised from $79 to $300 from several vendors. Checked on line again today the price is listed as $100+ Price gauging! I'm shocked and dissapointed that Amazon would allow their integrity and reputation to be destroyed by dealing with these companies. I will not order through Amazon vendors again. Don't buy this toy from Amazon if it is through a different vendor than Amazon.

I'm lovin' the Zhu Zhu pets - Stock up on the AAA batteries...
I got up early and was able to get Zhu Zhu Pets hamsters at WalMart. So glad because I know they are selling out stores because I've been calling everywhere.

Anyway, my kids have been playing with them all day. And then hair got wrapped around the little wheel and I thought one had broke so I spent forever trying to get the hair off -- but that's not what was making an additional squealing noise and making the wheels stop turning.

The little Zhu Zhu pets hamsters just needed new batteries. They came with 2 AAA batteries from the manufacturer -- and I'm sure they weren't in the store that long so that little hands could've worn out the batteries thru the "try me" window.

They must've just come with batteries not as good as the ones I changed them into. Because I just popped in some Duracel or whatever batteries -- and now the Zhu Zhu Pets run even faster than when we first bought them this morning.

My children are playing with them as I write.

Now we want all the Zhu Zhu pets in the collection -- and the accessories. Maybe by Christmas or before...

Why Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters Are The Best Toy Hamsters For Children

What Are Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters?

These are essentially toy hamsters. They are small furry little things that are battery operated so that when they are switched on they scuttle about on the floor in the way that a real hamster would. These toys also have sound boxes so that they can speak and squeak. The range consists of 4 different pets which have their own names and personalities.

The names of the toy hamsters are Chunk, Pipsqueak, Mr Squiggles and Num Nums. This group of toys recently had a name change. They were originally known as Go Go Pets but the company changed it to Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters. A lot of the packaging still has the old name and logo and these will be used until the stock runs out. Then the new name will be rolled out completely and will forever been known as Zhu Zhu pets .Once you have started off and bought your first toy pet hamster for your child, you will see that there is an extensive range of zhu zhu pets accessories to go with it.

Reasons To Get A Zhu Zhu Pet Hamster

If you are looking for a toy that children can play with and learn a little bit about responsibility, you may find great success when you buy a Zhu Zhu pet hamster. Some children will want to have a real life hamster or gerbil as a pet but they do not understand the work that is involved in keeping an animal well fed and clean. It may sound very exciting at first but when they have to clean out the cage everyday, lay down clean newspaper, replenish the hay and top up the water bowl a lot of kids will lose interest after a few days. They just want a cute little furry animal to cuddle and pet and watch as it runs around its little wheel. The parents usually end up with all the feeding and cleaning duties.

The real benefit of buying a toy hamster is that a child can be content all day long and there is no mess or extra duties that have to be performed. They will get exactly what they want, which is their own pet to look after and play with to their hearts content. This is an excellent compromise for both parent and child.

Zhu Zhu Pets: Review & Giveaway

Posted by: Lizzie

So the other day I was trying to take a Darvocet-induced nap when I kept hearing this insane giggling coming from the kitchen. My first thought was that Jamie was having a tickle-fest with Simon because I have never heard him laugh that hard and for that long unless something was seriously hilarious. I decided to forgo the nap and see what on earth could be the cause of all the insanity. Turns out, the Fedex truck had arrived with a shipment full of Zhu Zhu Pets from MomSelect!!!

I love hamsters. They are adorable and funny, but right now we absolutely cannot bother with having another animal in our house. So I signed up to get a Zhu Zhu pet to try out because I thought they were cute, goofy, and might be hysterical to have because they are so weird. You know what? I was right!

Zhu Zhu Pets are the most ridiculously fun hamsters money can buy and the best part is that they won’t poop on the floor, pee on your hand, bite you, or die. Well, you need to change the batteries every once in a while (save the planet and get rechargeable ones!), but at least that’s pretty much the only maintenance they need. While I’d love to eventually let my children take responsibility for a small animal, having an infant and a three-year-old would make it kind of hard for me to supervise and make sure it gets fed, watered, and cleaned. I know I would be the one to have to do it sometimes, too, so I definitely don’t want that extra chore.

Ok, so what exactly is a Zhu Zhu Pet? It’s a robotic hamster. It makes cute noises and travels around its little habitat all by itself. You can get all kinds of add-ons like a skateboard, slide, and exercise wheel. Our favorite extra is the little car it can drive around. I’m pretty sure that’s what Simon was cracking up about when we first got ours. It makes car noises when it’s in the car zooming all over the place. And when it bumps into something, it’ll back up and go the other way.

The only thing about the Zhu Zhu Pet habitats that we didn’t like was that they were kind of hard to put together for kids. The plastic is rather flimsy and the sections of tunnels come apart really easily, so you have to be careful not to step on them or push down on the pieces too hard. Take a look at the pictures below to see what all you can get for your Zhu Zhu Pets:

the american way??
I find it horrible what people do for the all mighty dollar. This is a 8 dollar item that alot of folks buying them and reselling them for their own gain. Things are tight enough and all my daughter wants for Chirstmas.. Like my husbands says...that's the American Way. This is truly sad.

Go go pets don't GO
We bought two of these toys through Amazon. Both came from different sellers. One worked for about 20 minutes. The other one never moved at all. They make noises, but GO Nowhere. Now I have the headache of trying to get the MFG to return the toys as neither seller will accept returns that have been opened!!!

Super fun toy - sold out everywhere - Love AMAZON!!
Although the prices are out of this world sometimes, you can always count on Amazon to have that HAVE TO HAVE IT NOW TOY!!! If you don't have to have it now feel free to shop store to store to store to store until you can find it. If you can afford it, Amazon will have it!!! This little hamster has brought us loads of fun!! The accessories make it even better. you can bet this is going to the be the #1 Hot Toy for 2009!

Comments about Cepia, LLC Go Go Pets Hamster - Pipsqueak (Yellow):
My daughter love her pipsqueak. She follows it all over the house. We've had it for 3 weeks and it isn't dirty at all, which was a concern because it's canary yellow. It makes tons of cute noises and sounds. We highly recommend.

My daughter first noticed these on the TV a few weeks ago and she's been asking for some since them. She really likes the little hamster car. I think they're all cute.

I need anything I can get my hands on as a new mommy!!!!
